Produce As Nature Intended

The Farm is closed for Winter. We will reopen in early spring 2025

Prepping for next year

At Five Dog Farms, we take the winter months to prepare the beds and soils . This is the time we let the soil rest and replenish the beds with compose and other organic nutrients.

Winter projects:

We build our raised beds from natural redwood because it's rot resistant and is not treated with any harmful chemicals but after twelve years we have a few beds to rebuild.

Another winter project is starting seeds for the 2025 harvest. Starting in December we will get the seeds  started in the green house. This year we will be planting a few new verities like Badger Flame beet which is a sweeter variety.

As time permits I will stay in touch via periodic emails. Thank you for your support as we prepare for a wonderful 2025 harvest.
